We saw a nice run of cycle 24 and cycle 25 sunspots from January 24 through February 1. Daily sunspot number reached a short-term peak of 18 on January  26.

Fenomenologia di un'Associazione

Il processo d’invecchiamento della nostra Associazione, cioè l’aumento della componente anziana nel Corpo Sociale, è un fenomeno che incide sulla vita delle nostre Sezioni. Dipende essenzialmente da due fattori: il primo è di natura strutturale, ed è direttamente connesso al calo demografico nel nostro Paese; il secondo è diretta conseguenza del progresso tecnologico, che rende la radio sempre meno interessante per i giovani.

Il grafico sottostante, predisposto dalla Segreteria Generale, fotografa quanto molti avevano intuito, anche se forse non in termini così allarmanti.

In statistica la moda di un insieme di numeri è il valore che compare con maggior frequenza; nel nostro caso è costituita dai Soci 58enni. L’intervallo che comprende il maggior numero di Soci va da 54 a 63 anni. È in quest’ottica che va letto e interpretato il processo di invecchiamento strutturale dell’ARI.

La domanda che gli Amministratori si pongono è: “Dobbiamo impegnare le nostre risorse verso i giovani, nel tentativo di portare nuova linfa vitale all’Associazione, oppure dobbiamo orientarci ad offrire servizi modulati per l’età dei nostri attuali Soci?”. La risposta, per il Consiglio Direttivo, è scontata. Da un lato è ragionevole ipotizzare uno scenario drammatico se non investiamo sulle nuove leve, dall’altro dobbiamo assicurare la massima attenzione ai nostri Soci. In buona sostanza è necessario muoversi in entrambe le direzioni, bilanciando con intelligenza le forze a disposizione. Infatti, se non si interviene prontamente, la curva gaussiana del grafico tenderà a spostarsi inesorabilmente verso destra.
